Ainhoa San Torcuato was born in Alcalá de Henares (Madrid) in 1989. In 2012, she finished her studies in Chemical Sciences at University of Alcalá. During the academic year 2011/2012 she enjoyed an Erasmus scholarship at the University of Cambridge (UK) under the supervision of Dr. D. S. Wright, carrying out a research project called “Aspects of the coordination chemistry of tris-pyridyl metal ligands”. In 2013 she got the Master’s Degree in “Inorganic Molecular Chemistry” at University of Alcalá carrying out a research work in Heterogeneous Catalysis at Cepsa’s research centre. During this year, she collaborated with P. Gómez-Sal group working with Ti complexes at University of Alcalá. She started her PhD at Prof. Esteruelas group in 2014 focusing on the synthesis of iridium complexes.
