Dr. María Luisa Buil was born in Zaragoza and studied Chemistry at the University of Zaragoza. She obtained her Ph. D. Degree in 1997 under the supervision of Prof. Miguel A. Esteruelas at the same University. After spending two years at the University of York (U. K.), working under the supervision of Prof. Robin N. Perutz with a European Marie Curie Fellowship, she returned at the University of Zaragoza in 2000. Since November 2001 she has been working as a researcher of the scientific program “Ramón y Cajal” of the Spanish Ministry of Science and Education. Her main research interests are organometallic chemistry and the application of organometallic compounds in homogeneous catalysis, mainly in carbon-nitrogen bond forming processes.
